Stirnol Engine: A combination of Nitinol (shape memory alloy) and Gamma Stirling Engine

Global pursuit to meet emergent energy demands necessitates finding simple and cost effective solutions. A promising solution is the application of renewable with thermo-mechanical conversion systems such as Stirling engines. Considerable effort in hand at industry academia domains stimulate development technology. Foregoing, this paper focuses on modelling Low Temperature Difference (LTD) gamma-type engine investigating means enhancing its performance through integration Nitinol spring. The CFD models were comprehensively developed simulate engine, which have been subsequently validated experimental data. results reveal that addition Spring enhances overall efficiency demonstrating affirmative impact shape memory alloy towards output engine.
